Neptune Rules Pisces...
Neptune represents sacrifice, compassion and viewing life through feelings.
Neptune represents sacrifice, compassion and viewing life through feelings.
Some things are good and bad simultaneously. Neptune's influence is evidence of this. The house containing Neptune in a natal chart will have a loosening of the rules and a sense of disorder to it. As boundaries are clouded so is the protocol. With Neptune in a house, right and wrong become diffused into a collage of situational discrepancies. Nothing is final and nothing is clear. An act that would normally be considered wrong, may be considered necessary and, therefore, right given the circumstances or the "feeling" of the moment. Although it's easy to see how Neptune's influence can be bad and lead to the breaking of boundaries that are there for our protection, Neptune's influence can also be beneficial. There are times when boundaries are actually barriers acting as excessively rigid universal rules which don't work for the benefit of everyone in every situation. Neptune easily recognizes when attention is needed, which is outside the normal boundaries, for the benefit of an individual with a unique situation.
Neptune's gift can also be its curse. The planet brings the wisdom of a far-reaching perspective. It sees life from the widest angle but pays the price of losing focus on details. As though surveying a landscape from a mountain top, Neptune takes everything in and sees holistically, but it can't see the individual trees. Often this holistic view is beneficial. When dealing with human nature in a feeling house like the eighth or twelfth, it is superior to a focus on detail. However, when dealing with a house like the third or sixth which centers more on detail, it can be frustrating.

Neptune's sacrifice...You may feel that you get dumped on or taken advantage of in the house where Neptune falls in your natal chart. This phenomenon represents a strength and a weakness in Neptune. The planet is willing to make sacrifices for others, which is a strength that comes from this mature, universal planet. However, less mature people out in the world often see this as a weakness and an opportunity to take advantage of the Neptune person. Because of Neptune's accepting and compassionate nature, it often lets people take advantage of it for long periods of time. Too often Neptune would rather do extra work and act as a scapegoat for another person before hurting someone else.

"I feel used, disregarded, lost and powerless"...Neptune's pain Neptune's compassion...The house which contains Neptune in a natal chart is likely to be a house where compassion is given freely. Neptune feels deeply and recognizes suffering without looking to blame or justify. Because it is a feeling, water planet, it doesn't look for reasons or practical solutions to problems or painful situations. It feels, and it is especially sensitive to pain in others. Neptune consoles and cares for others, offering a shoulder to cry on. If it is you who is wronged and the pain hits the house in your natal chart containing Neptune, the planet does not tend to take things personally or dwell on personal feelings. Rather, it feels for other people or even situations often leaving itself completely out of the equation. If there is any room for understanding Neptune will see it. For Neptune to be unforgiving and uncompassionate, the act against it would have to be blatantly crude, or obscenely offensive because Neptune always gives plenty of room for errors, mistakes and misunderstandings. Neptune wants to feel the other person's point of view and always see the big picture of what is happening in a situation or relationship.
Neptune's escapism...At its weakest, Neptune is caught in a perpetual state of escapism. Constantly taking the easiest route, Neptune can fall victim to laziness or even complete hedonism. This is Neptune's Achilles' heel. If uninspired or ignored, Neptune will resort to this behavior. Neptune needs to serve or have a reason to provide beauty and spiritual inspiration to world. Without it, Neptune fades into the oblivion of self-destructive behavior either intentionally or unintentionally.
